New Cars by GM in India

As sports utility vehicles making serious inroads in Indian market, keeping pace with the growing demand for SUVs, arrives Chevrolet Captiva - the latest offering from General Motors India. The state-of-the art SUV was introduced to the Indian consumers in the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi this year. The seven-seater Captiva comes with a 2.0 litre diesel engine. It has a level ride suspension system, which automatically maintains nominal ride height under differing load conditions. With its smart, sporty and trendy look, Captiva is certain to lure Indian consumers. The Captiva has been a winner in South Africa, Venezuela, Colombia and Middle-East, and now, it is sure to recreate the magic in the Indian subcontinent as well.

Not to forget, General Motors has been a forerunner in bringing world class cars to the Indian consumer in last one year. GM started off 2007 with the launch of Chevrolet U-VA in January, followed by ‘Chevrolet Optra Platinum’ limited edition. In April, GM India came up with the much awaited Chevrolet Spark' – a refurbished version of Daewoo's 'Matiz.' Chevrolet Spark’s best in the class fuel efficiency and enhanced safety features led GM India throw serious competition to the existing players in the small car segment.

GM India continued it dream run with the launch of Optra Magnum and New Chevrolet Aveo Anniversary Edition in the subsequent months. It is worth mentioning here that GM India has registered its highest ever sales in 2007 since its inception in India.
