Launch new cars in India in 2009

THE YEAR 2008 was not that good for the Indian car industry and many car manufacturers saw a dip in their sales. Now to overcome the problem and to continue in the car market, the year 2009 will get to see launch of 50 new models. The new launch of 2009 is inaugurated with the Mahindra & Mahindra Xylo, which will be placed against Toyota Innova. This will be followed by petrol and diesel version of Fiat Linea sedan giving a tough competition to Honda City, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Verna. Other new car still waiting for the launch are Grande Punto from the hatchback segment and Bravo from the class of premium sedan.

Another much awaited launch will be the world’s cheapest car Nano from the house of Tata Motors. The Nano will be rolled out from Tata Motors’ plant in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. There is no confirmed news about how many Nanos, Tata will initially roll out. General Motors also ready to launch its Chevrolet Cruze and a minicar in 2009. Chevrolet Cruze will be fitted with General Motors' new direct-booster, turbo-charged, four-cylinder engine. Chevrolet Cruze is priced around Rs 3.75 lakh in Korea, so in India it is likely to cost twice as much. It will compete with Toyota Corolla Altis, the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra. It will almost same like Toyota Corolla Altis. You can search on the internet and find the information about new cars in India.
